PTT Installer 2 has been designed as the 'second step' component of our PTT Part P Preparation Course or as a standalone course for those who already have some basic understanding of electrics and are looking for a career in the electrical industry.
This course is also ideal for those wishing to improve their electrical skills.
Details:
This course is intended as the next step for those who have taken PTT Installer 1 and as a course for those who already possess the basic knowledge but feel that they would benefit from some practical instruction and experience.
It is a useful precursor to the City & Guilds 2382 course and also lays foundations for the City & Guilds 2391 or 2392 [Inspection and Test].

- Safe Isolation

Earthing and Bonding

Residual Current Devices

Testing fundamentals

Continuity and insulation resistance testing

Testing of earth loop impedance and fault current

Construction of circuits using different wiring systems:

Lighting, loop in and switch fed, including extractor fan

Radial circuits i.e., immersion, cooker, shower

Design and installation of 17th Edition Consumer Units
