PTT Installer 2 Electrical Training Course

This course is intended as the next step for those who have taken PTT Installer 1 and as a course for those who already possess the basic knowledge but feel that they would benefit from some practical instruction and experience.

It is a useful precursor to the City & Guilds 2382 course and also lays foundations for the City & Guilds 2391 or 2392 [Inspection and Test].

• Electrical circuit fundamentals
• Earth Loop Impedance
• Overcurrent protection
• Volt drop
• Earthing and Bonding
• Residual Current Devices
• Testing fundamentals
• Continuity and insulation resistance testing
• Testing of earth loop impedance and fault current
• RCD testing
• Construction of circuits using different wiring systems:
• ~ T&E
• ~ Singles and conduit
• ~ SWA
• Lighting, loop in and switch fed, including extractor fan
• Radial circuits i.e., immersion, cooker, shower
• Ring Final circuits, fused spurs

Those who already have some basic understanding of electrics.
