City & Guilds 2391-10 - Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations to BS7671
Summary:
This four day course covers the requirements of BS 7671 for inspection, testing and certification and is designed to prepare candidates for both the written and practical examinations.
A qualification suitable for candidates wishing to carry out both Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing.
Details:
Candidates gain the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the inspection and testing procedures by practicing on purpose-built training rigs which simulate electrical installations.
The full 2391 qualification is gained by the successful completion of both a written examination and a practical assessment. The written exam is 2.5 hours and takes place on dates set by City & Guilds throughout the year.
The exam is always on a Thursday evening from 6.30-9.00 and is usually in the same week as the course. Check the website for further details.
The practical exam is 3/4 hours and every effort is made to fit it into the course week although some testing may run into the fifth day and occasionally it may need to be taken at a later date.

We strongly recommend that candidates have the City & Guilds 2382 prior to taking this course, though this is NOT a mandatory entry requirement.
