Who is this qualification aimed at and what does is cover?
It is aimed at practising electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update of training before going on to other City & Guilds qualifications.
The qualification is also suitable for those with limited experience of initial inspection of electrical installations, such as those entering the industry from other engineering disciplines or who have been working in allied trades.
This qualification prepares candidates for the initial verification of electrical installation work.
Structure – to achieve the qualification candidates must take and pass

Online multiple choice test – 40 questions in 1 hour (same as 2395-301).
2394-302
Dated entry written exam – 6 per year held on Wednesday evenings. However there are only 5 during 2012 first being in April.
2394-303
Assignment with practical assessment.
The course cost and duration are still to be finalised.

Who is this qualification aimed at and what does it cover?
It is intended for personnel in electrical contracting companies who have responsibility for the quality of the design, specification, installation and testing process. It addresses, in particular, the implications of the Wiring Regulations for Electrical Installations.
It allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required designing and scoping electrical installations.
