NAPIT NA7232 Distance Learning

This course is specifically designed for highly skilled and experienced electricians looking to demonstrate their competence to work to Part P of the Building Regulations and/or undertake commercial/industrial work, including 3-phase.

The program will give you the opportunity to demonstrate your broad range of electrical knowledge and practical skills, keep up to date with all the latest Wiring Regulation amendments, and ultimately, deliver the highest safety standards for your customers.

For successful candidates who are able to provide evidence of work demonstrating 2 years of appropriate electrical experience, the course provides a direct route to NAPIT electrical membership.

Unlike some courses, subject to ongoing successful assessments if you choose to register on NAPIT’s Competent Person Scheme, this City and Guilds Accredited program will never need to be renewed.

Distance Learning

Training material is provided on booking, including a USB flash drive containing all relevant study documents, sample questions and exercises we aim to get this to you least 10 days prior to your booking

 ~ 32 self-guided learning hours, strongly recommended

 ~ 1/2 day theory: multiple choice online exam at an approved training centre of your choice

 ~ 1 day practical assessment: inspection and testing on approved 3-phase commercial and domestic installation assessment rigs and completion of a NAPIT Electrical Installation Certificate, Electrical Installation Condition Report and Minor Works Certificate.

The course will provide a comprehensive overview of Inspection and Testing to BS 7671:2008 Incorporating Amendment No.3 (2015) and is divided into the following topics:

  • Safety and regulations
  • Inspection procedures and practises
  • Safe isolation
  • Initial verification of system design
  • Instrumentation
  • Testing sequence
  • Certification

Two years of appropriate electrical experience. If you choose to become a NAPIT member after completion of this course, you will also need auditable evidence of work carried out to be able to demonstrate this.

Your own test equipment and in-date calibration certificate (test equipment can be provided if required).
