C&G 2923-34 Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of Small Electrical Energy Storage Systems
This City & Guilds course is aimed at qualified and experienced electricians who wish to understand the requirements for design, installation and maintenance of electrical energy storge systems (EESS), typically within a domestic or small commercial setting. The course content is presented in accordance with the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and the requirements of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

The purpose of this course is to cover the knowledge, understanding and skills required for the design, installation and maintenance of electrical energy storage systems. (EESS)
It follows the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and industry guidance, together with the requirements of BS 7671.
It will include a range of relevant outcomes covering:
This qualification consists of two assessments:
301: A 30 minute, open book, online multi-choice examination.
302: A practical assessment consisting of 3 tasks.
IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage (3rd Edition).
BS 7671 Wiring Regulations 2018+A3 2024

Successful learners will receive a City & Guilds certificate. This certificate has no expiry date; however, it is recommended that leaners re-take the course every 5 years, in order to keep up to date with any industry and regulation changes.
